6.2 magnitude earthquake strikes near Guam

Guam – The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.2 that struck 146 km ESE of Rota, Mariana Islands, with a depth of 41.9 km, at 9:14 a.m. (ChST).

There were no reports made to Guam E911 dispatch of damages or injuries from the earthquake.

Homeland Security spokesperson Jenna Blas says there are no tsunami warnings or alerts at this time.
