In-fa was about 180 miles south-southwest of Guam as of 7AM (CHST) this morning.
Guam – Category 3 Typhoon In-Fa passed the closest point of approach to Guam and is now moving away from the island.
According to the National Weather Service’s latest update, Typhoon In-Fa was located around 11.1N 143.7E or about about 180 miles south-southwest of Guam. While heading out to the open waters of the Philippine Sea, it is maintaining its intensity of 115 miles per hour and forward speed of 18 MPH. Further intensification through Sunday is expected.
The Condition of Readiness level 2 and a Tropical Storm Warning, however, remains in effect for Guam.
