Guam – Principals and Vice Principals from all of the island’s 40 school public schools participated in the annual Leadership Academy which wrapped up Friday at the Holiday Inn.
JFK Assistant Principal Asherdee Rosete says the intense three-day training allowed the administrators to learn from each other by sharing best practices from their schools.
“So what we’re doing is relying on peer learning to share information and so that we get all the information and we learn from each other,” Rosete told PNC while the training was underway. “We can use ideas and survey information from our school as well as others on how to improve student learning and school improvement.”
The administrators also learned how to use the Common Core Standards adopted by DOE for the upcoming school year.
