Public school buses to be equipped with cameras

Guam – The newest lineup of public school buses might look a bit different this year.

According to a press release from the governor’s office, some of the school buses will come fully equipped with cameras.

In the governor’s weekly address, Governor Eddie Calvo announced the combined efforts of the Department of Education and Public Works to prepare for the impending academic year.

Some of those changes include additional safety training for bus drivers as well as buses fitted with cameras in order to, “help the bus drivers keep a better eye on everyone.”

The start of the school year for most public schools begins in ten days.
