Guam- The Personal Finance Center is hosting the first annual “Pancakes for Charity” event as part of its 35th anniversary celebration.
At a press conference Wednesday morning at the Sheraton Resort, PFC President and CEO Mike Camacho says the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters and Habitat for Humanity of Guam.
“They’ll be things for all the members of the family to do” said Camacho. “We’ll have a pancake decorating contest for the kids and a pancake eating contest for the adults. And in addition to that, they’ll be live entertainment. So, we invite the public to come out and join us for our 1st annual event to benefit the charities.”
The fundraiser will feature a delicious assortment of pancake dishes from blueberry, strawberry, white chocolate macademia nut and other flavors. Entertainment and games will also be provided and will take place at the Sheraton pool side square on March 26.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Executive Director Vanessa Estrella and Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Christine Gordon say this will greatly help their organizations.
“Funds raised from this event will help support our program for the rest of the year” remarked Estrella.
“This is going to help us build and construct our next home, which will break ground at the end of this month or the beginning of April”stated Gordon.
To support the “Pancakes for Charity” event on March 26, tickets are $25 dollars for adults and $15 dollars for children 3 years and older. It can be purchased at the Personal Finance locations in Tamuning and Dededo.
