Ordot Dump Closing TODAY

Guam – The District COur tof Guam is sponsoring a formal closing ceremony for the Ordot dump today [Wednesday].

The closure of the dump is a key milestones along the road to bring Guam’s solid waste system into compliance with the 2004 Consent Decree for violations of the Clean Water Act.

The general public is invited to attend the ceremony which will take place at the Ordot dump  at 4 pm this afternoon.

Tomorrow morning an opening ceremony will be held at the Layon landfill which will replace the old Ordot dump.
