Guam Museum hosts GATE Theater musical

"A Journey of Musical Magic" begins Thursday night and runs through Sunday afternoon.

Liberation Carnival Director resigns

Less than 24 hours after the executive director of the Liberation Carnival organizers made an announcement that there would be no carnival this year, Heidi Ballendorf resigned.
Eight non-profit organizations were awarded grants by TakeCare Foundation to support community projects.
It's the middle of Senior Citizens Month, and the manåmko' at St. Dominic’s have their way of celebrating it every year.
"On behalf of the Mayors Council, I am announcing that we are shutting down not only the carnival, but the casino. We will be cleaning up the Paseo area. That’s going to be my task. People need to understand: there’s no carnival," said Guam Historical Liberation Society Executive Director Heidi Ballendorf.
Last week, construction began on what is to be a casino at this year’s Liberation Carnival grounds in Paseo, which sparked an uproar from anti-gambling groups.
Yesterday was honored as Guam Peace Officer’s Memorial Day, and 17 fallen law enforcement heroes were remembered for their sacrifices.
