Beginning May 1, Rev and Tax will be requiring a mayor's verification, social security card, and birth certificate for driver's license renewal.

Guam - A release from Adelup has announced new requirements for driver's license renewal at the Department of Revenue and Taxation.

To comply with the Federal Government's REAL ID program, the following documents will be required beginning May 1:

  1. Mayor's verification
  2. original Social Security card or W2 or 1099 tax return form (from the last 5 years)
  3. original birth certificate or passport

By meeting these requirements under the REAL ID program, Guam licenses can be used for travel within the United States. Rev and Tax is working with the federal government on alternate documents that can be used for verification.

Current Guam driver's licenses are valid until the expiration date stated on the ID. Upon expiration, the above-mentioned documents will be required to renew the license.
