DOC officer busted for meth arraigned

Pereira pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him. 

Guam - The Dept of Corrections officer busted for possession of $27,000 worth of meth was indicted and arraigned in Federal Court this morning.

Ronald Artero Pereira pleaded not guilty to all charges.

In late January, aside from finding 33 grams of ice, authorities confiscated marijuana, a firearm, several cell phones, chargers, drug paraphernalia, and other contraband items from Pereira’s vehicle.

He was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, providing contraband in prison, and drug user in possession of a firearm. Pereira was working for DOC for 11 years.

His trial and jury selection is scheduled for April 24 at 10 a.m.
