Mayors, Vice Mayors, and Public Auditor celebrate inauguration of their own.

Guam - Yesterday was a day of inauguration ceremonies-- not just at the legislature, but for several public officials as well.

The Mayors, Vice Mayors, and Public Auditor Doris Flores Brooks all celebrated their  first official day in office yesterday.

For Public Auditor Brooks, the inauguration ceremony was a personal one as this inauguration marks her fifth term in office.

After 16 years as your Public Auditor, you might think I'm tired of it, but I haven't because I believe that OPA is helping GovGuam improve in accountability and transparency,” she stated.

Meanwhile, the inauguration for village leaders was held at the five star luxury hotel Dusit Thani.

Sinajana Mayor Robert Hoffman said that the council heavily fund-raised to pay for the venue that would accommodate the entire party.

Although $10,000 was spent for the inaugural ceremony, Mayor Hoffman told PNC that each district spent around $400 dollars less than the previous term.
