Acting Superintendent Joe Sanchez cleared of all criminal allegations; Guam Education Board now considers matter closed.

Guam - Acting Superintendent Joe Sanchez has been cleared of alleged criminal activity lodged by Former JP Torres Principal Eleuterio Mesa.

In a letter released by Guam Police Chief J.I. Cruz, the criminal investigation relative to the allegations put forth by Mesa is officially closed and Sanchez has been cleared of all alleged criminal activity.

The investigation was prompted when Mesa filed a report against Sanchez. The report apparently involved criminal allegations involving substance abuse with minors.

Cruz stated in his letter that the criminal investigations division completed its thorough investigation and found “no evidence to substantiate the allegations.”

When asked for a response to the findings of GPD, Acting Superintendent Sanchez stated that he is “very happy that this matter has been addressed and that it was done in a thorough manner. I greatly appreciate the work of the Guam Police Department."

In a release from GDOE, the Guam Education Board stated that based on these findings GEB now considers this matter closed with no further action needed.
