Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam bid farewell to the Delta Force of the U.S. Marine Corps for their help with the organization’s Yona youth program, YOuth NAtion.

Guam - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam has been around since 2002, offering one-to-one mentoring to hundreds of children throughout the island. The Marines Special Operations Command Delta volunteered their time to mentor the youth in the Yona program throughout the month of December. Program Director Breanna Lai helped organize a celebratory appreciation lunch for them last Friday.

"They’ve been volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout the month of December. We have a youth program that we do after school on Fridays with the youth here in Yona. It’s called YOuth NAtion," Lai told PNC. "We basically just play different sports every week, or different outdoor activities. We invited the Marines when they asked to volunteer. We thought this would be a really great program of ours for them to partake in."

The MARSOC Delta will be shipping out at the end of January.
