Guam Democratic Party in Search of Leadership After Carlo Branch Resigns From Executive Director's Post
Guam News - Guam News
Guam - Carlos Pangelinan, the Treasurer and Acting Chairman of the Guam Democratic Party, says that Carlo Branch has submitted his resignation as the Executive Director of the party.
Pangelinan told PNC News that in his resignation letter, Branch wrote that he has wanted to resign since former Governor Carl Gutierrez stepped down from the Chairmanship during his aborted run for the position of Public Auditor last year.
Pangelinan said that Branch's resignation letter made no mention of the drug raid at Branch's home last Thursday during which his room-mate Chris Carillo was arrested for importing marijuana.
When contacted by PNC News, Branch referred all comment to Pangelinan.
Pangleinan said that the Democratic Party is planing a meeting this Thursday at which he hopes party leaders will set a date for the election of a new Chairman and Vice Chairman.//
He said there are no plans to replace Branch as Executive Director until the new party leadership is in place.
