Guam - A retired pilot has set a world record for the longest flight in a single engine aircraft by taking his Lancair VI from Guam to Jacksonville Florida.

WJXT-TV in Jacksonville Florida reports that William Harrelson and his wife Sue flew non-stop from Guam to Jacksonville last week.

He told the station the flight took 39 hours.
