Route 1/ 8 (Hagåtna Bridges)
Night work scheduled from 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. at the Hagåtña Bridge construction area will continue this week. Drivers should expect lane shifts and/or detours and are urged to seek alternate routes avoiding the area during these times. The contractor will be driving the piles necessary for the continuing reconstruction of the Hagåtña Bridge and the lane shifts and detours are for the safety of all motorists.
Route 1/11 (Port Authority Road)
The eastbound outer left turn lane of Route 11 at the intersection at Route 1 will be closed to traffic through September 29. The inner left turn lane will remain open for left turning motorists. Drivers turning from Route 1 onto westbound Route 11 will encounter lane shifts and narrowed lanes through September 29. Also during this time period, the intersection of Industrial Avenue and Route 11 will be reduced to a single lane of traffic.
Route 4 from McDonalds to Route 10
Paving on Route 4 is complete. Lane closures may occur during the week as the contractor continues to adjust manholes, install signs, and mark the roadway. Signage as well as safety and traffic personnel will be in place to ensure the safety of the workers and travelers in the construction area.
Route 4 Ylig Bridge (Yona)
Construction work on the bridge abutments on the Route 4 Ylig Bridge continues this week.
