California-Guam Joint Venture Firm Gets $11M Contract to Rebuild Sierra Wharf at Naval Base Guam

Guam - The Department of Defense has awarded an $11 million dollar contract to a Joint Venture firm Bulltrack-Watts to repair and modernize the Sierra Wharf at Naval Base Guam.

Bulltrack is based in Marysville California. Honolulu-based Watts Constructors has offices here on Guam.

The announcement on defense.gov names Bulltrack-Watts as the winner of the $11,781,923 firm-fixed-price task order.

The work includes sustainment, restoration and maintenance repairs to waterfront facilities at Sierra Wharf to allow berthing of various Navy ships. 

The project elements include level III above and under water structural inspection, repairs to sheet piles, cathodic protection, concrete cap, mooring hardware, pavement, utilities and telecommunication system. 

The job is slated for completion by January 2014. 

Four proposals were received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Marianas, Guam, awarded the contract.
