Branch: Gutierrez "Will Play an Essential Role" in Energizing Democratic Base

Guam  - The Executive Director of the Democratic Party, Carlo Branch, has issued a statement thanking former Governor Gutierrez for his decision to withdraw from the Public Auditor's race and to "put our party first"

Branch says that Gutierrez "will play an essential role in energizing voters at a grassroots level"  by campaigning for the democratic slate of candidates and helping to ensure "a larger Democratic presence in the Mayor’s Council, an expanded Majority in the Guam Legislature, and to ensure that Guam sends Madeleine Z. Bordallo back to Congress."

Carlo J.N. Branch, the Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Guam issues the following statement regarding the return of Carl T.C. Gutierrez to the Democratic Party's Campaign in 2012 :

"Last Night after careful consideration and consultation with his family and supporters, Governor Gutierrez sent me an open letter to our Party and the the people of Guam.  In it, he accepts the Democratic  Party’s request to withdraw from the Public Auditor race and begin actively campaigning for a larger Democratic presence in the Mayor’s Council, an expanded Majority in the Guam Legislature, and to ensure that Guam sends Madeliene Z. Bordallo back to Congress.  The Governor will play an essential role in energizing voters at a grassroots level and we thank him for his willingness to put our Party first."
