Guam- The bid for the new Harmon Residential Transfer Station has gone out.
Guam Solid Waste Authority Administrator Linda Ibanez tells PNC 11 potential bidders are confirmed. The Harmon transfer station will replace the Ordot dump site and will help central residential customers who want to self-haul their waste. Once completed, Guam will have 4 transfer stations again. Ibanez explains what will occur during the bidding process.

“There will be an evaluation made by our construction team” said Ibanez. “They would review all the documents and requirements. The award will be based on the lowest responsive bidder based on the qualification and their expertise in doing the work for us.”
After the notice to proceed is issued, construction will take about 308 calendar days for the project to be completed. It will be located adjacent to the Guam Solid Waste Authority Building.
