Guam - Another delay in the Dr. Joel Joseph case. Superior Court Judge Michael Bordallo has once again re-scheduled the hearing on an ex parte motion filed by the Guam Allied Health Board to next Tuesday.
But Assistant AG Ben Abrams, the Board's attorney, believes this delay is just another one of Wise Owl veterinarian Dr. Joseph's tactics to buy him some time to keep his animal hospital open.
Attorney Abrams says the hearing was rescheduled because Joseph's attorney, Mitch Thompson, was not available, even if Thompson had previously stated that he would be available.

"I think that Dr. Joseph part of his strategy is to delay this as much as possible. There was no contact with me prior to my arrival at the courthouse this morning,"
Dr. Joseph's response, "Mr. Abrams is a liar. That's my statement."
The hearing has been rescheduled to next Tuesday in Judge Michael Bordallo's courtroom at 1:30 pm. Bordallo had earlier issued a temporary stay on the board's decision to suspend Joseph's veterinary license for five years, among other sanctions.
At next week's court hearing, evidence will be presented and the Judge is expected to hand down a decision to either dissolve the stay or issue an official stay.
