Guam - Friday was a GovGuam Holiday and many around the island spent the day preparing for Saturday's Liberation Day festivities.

Dozens of families were seen along the parade route setting up their canopy's for the Liberation Parade.

The Guam Running Club will hold its Liberation Mile Run along the Parade Route beginning at 7:21am Saturday. The parade will officially begin the 9 o'clock hour Saturday morning, and will move from Adelup to the Paseo Loop. The Guam Hawgs and the Guam Harley Motorcycle Owners will lead the way, followed by Governor Eddie Calvo and the First Lady.
The day will wrap up with the fireworks display at the Carnival Ground in Tiyan at 9pm
