"Designed for Success: Logo Development and Visual Branding for Small Business "
Presented by Guest Speaker: Rhaj Sharma, GuamWEBZ
Fee:$30 per person
Location: UOG Guam SBDC Room #148 Leon Guerrero SBPA Building
SYNOPSIS: This training session is a must attend for any small business and especially for those that suffer from an “identity crisis”. The session zooms into the most basic, yet vital task of developing and possessing a business logo. There are numerous businesses that don’t have their logo on file. For instance, when you ask them for their logo, they will simply hand you their business card. This is wrong! All businesses should have professional, clean, and legible copies of their logo on file, so that they can use it the production of materials needed for their day-to-day business and business promotions. A business card has a logo on it, but it is not a “logo”! This training session would help small businesses understand the importance of their logo, their slogan, their color choices, the images and icons they use, and more…in that, whatever they choose to convey is deemed as a representation of their business persona, reputation, public image, and business culture. If they have not realized this before, they will surely realize it after this training session: Their logo should be treated with care and should be closely guarded.

Establishing an effective online presence is not as simple as it seems. It takes far more to be found online than simply having a decent website. Fee: $30 per person
SYNOPSIS: Managers and supervisors are challenged in motivating employees to keep up their morale, attitude and productivity in order to bring success to individual employees and the organization. All employees are entitled to be challenged, motivated, coached and disciplined to achieve higher levels of performance. Don’t compromise and settle for passable work quality or inconsistency in productivity. You must actively seek opportunities to involve in educating and coaching all employees. Help average performers strive to do the best job possible. Learn what motivates and de-motivates employees, and effective ways to compliment employees’ efforts and contributions. Be the one who can make a difference in people.

SYNOPSIS: Terminating an employee's employment is never easy, but unfortunately, must occasionally be done. This is a job that every manager must handle with sensitivity, with respect to the existing employee. There are considerations, both from the legal as well as policy aspect that must be followed. While a properly done termination may not prevent complaints to EEOC, it may certainly reduce the number of complaints.
