Motion to sever contraband cases will be heard on Friday


Three of the six officers implicated in the case have already resigned.

Guam –¬†Hearings in the conspiracy to promote prison contraband continued in court today before superior Court Judge Vernon Perez.

Edward Crisostimo, Fermin Maratita, Ronald Meno and Rosalina Hocog were given a stern admonishment by Judge Vernon Perez on the gravity of the felony charges against them. The four will not need to be present for a motion hearing set for tomorrow.

As you may recall 13 defendants were indicted on a total of 51 charges related to conspiracy, possession, bribery and destruction of evidence amongst other charges.

Of those defendants one has asserted his rights to a speedy trial while according Judge Perez, three have filed motions to sever, they are Officer Gerry Hocog, Former Officer Frankie Rosalin and Paul Lynwood Johnson.
